Job summary

We are seeking a reliable Machine Hand for a busy East Tamaki manufacturing team. This temp-to-perm role offers day or night shifts, with training and development opportunities.

You will operate and monitor machinery, perform quality checks, and support a safety-focused, collaborative production environment to meet daily targets. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical ability, strong attendance, and a proactive attitude to learn and grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or machine operating environment.
• Strong mechanical or technical aptitude.
• Confidence working with machinery and production equipment.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow processes and work to production targets.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring production machinery.
• Assisting with machine setup and changeovers.
• Feeding materials into machinery and removing finished products.
• Performing quality checks and ensuring products meet specifications.
• Identifying and reporting machine faults or production issues.
• Carrying out basic troubleshooting and adjustments where required.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Following all Health & Safety and production procedures.
• Working closely with the wider production team to meet daily targets.

Location: East Tamaki, Auckland
Hours: Monday to Friday
Day Shift: 6:50am – 3:20pm
Night Shift: 11:00pm – 7:00am
Employment: Temp to Perm | Ongoing Work

We are currently seeking a reliable Machine Hand to join a busy manufacturing team based in East Tamaki.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, has strong attention to detail, and is confident working in a fast-paced production environment.

We are looking for someone who is technically sound, hands-on and keen to build a long-term career, with the potential for the position to become permanent.

About the Role

As a Machine Hand, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of machinery and production processes, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery
• Assisting with machine setup and changeovers
• Feeding materials into machinery and removing finished products
• Performing quality checks and ensuring products meet specifications
• Identifying and reporting machine faults or production issues
• Carrying out basic troubleshooting and adjustments where required
