Job summary

Nelson Pine Industries seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the mechanical maintenance across its LVL plant at the Richmond site. You will manage a small team of mechanical fitters, coordinate staff and contractors, and ensure high standards of equipment reliability and safety.

You will drive preventative maintenance planning, coordinate shutdowns, and work closely with Engineering and Production to implement improvements that enhance plant reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience leading a small team of mechanical fitters and coordinating staff and contractors.
• Strong analytical approach with commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical maintenance across the LVL plant.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns and drive maintenance improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and maintenance systems.
