About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and dependable Loader Driver / Store Person to join our fertilizer operations team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe handling, processing, and dispatch of fertilizer products. In addition to operating heavy machinery and warehouse duties, you'll also be involved in running and maintaining coating and bagging plants used for product customization and packaging.
Key Responsibilities
Loader & Forklift Operations
Operate front-end loaders to load, unload, and transport bulk fertilizer.
Receival of product from Ship discharges, including Pushing Up.
Ensure safe and efficient handling of product to minimize waste and contamination.
Operate fertilizer coating and bagging equipment in line with production schedules.
Monitor machinery during operation and ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
Perform minor routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs to keep equipment in top working condition.
Report any mechanical faults or breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
Assist with blending, batching, and packaging processes as required.
Warehouse & Yard Duties
Receive, check, and correctly store incoming fertilizer stock.
Maintain accurate records for inventory, despatch batches, and order fulfilment.
Keep the yard, plant areas, and warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
Customer Service
Accurately monitor incoming shipments, and dispatch customer orders.
Load orders onto customer vehicles or delivery trucks, ensuring correct documentation.
Deliver professional and courteous service to customers and transport partners.
Health & Safety
Comply with all site safety requirements and protocols.
participate in safety meetings and training.
Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses without delay.
Qualifications & Experience
Current Class 2, with Wheels Endorsement and Forklift License (OSH and F Endorsement preferred).
Experience operating coating and/or bagging equipment is an advantage.
Previous work in fertilizer, warehousing, or manufacturing sectors.
Mechanically minded with basic problem-solving skills for equipment maintenance.
Able to lift heavy items (up to 25kg) and perform physically demanding tasks.
Familiarity with inventory systems and basic computer literacy is an advantage. .
