Job summary

Visy Logistics NZ is hiring Class 5 drivers for linehaul work in the Southern Region, with occasional North Island trips. You will join a team where safety, reliability and customer service are valued and career growth is encouraged.

Roles are full-time with a 5am start, averaging at least 45 hours per week. A clean Class 5 licence and good knowledge of local routes are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, time management, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and provide friendly service.
• Knowledge of Canterbury Region, Timaru Metro area and Ports is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 5 Single or Double Truck & Trailer for freight pickup and delivery.
• Build strong customer relationships with friendly service.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections for roadworthiness and compliance.
• Complete electronic reporting and other required documentation.
• Comply with Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Adhere to load restraint guidelines to ensure safe transport.
