Job summary

Macmahon New Zealand is seeking experienced Light Vehicle Fitters to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island. In this hands-on role, you will carry out repairs, servicing and diagnostics on various light vehicles, buses and equipment.

You’ll work alongside the team based in the surface workshop, sharing knowledge to ensure safe and efficient work. A NZ recognised Light Vehicle Trade Qualification and 2+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• New Zealand recognised Light Vehicle Trade Qualification.
• At least 2 years' experience as a qualified tradesperson with breakdown repairs and servicing of light vehicles.
• Valid Class 1 NZ driver's licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance on light vehicles, buses and underground equipment.
• Complete servicing and maintenance to OEM standards and site procedures.
• Support equipment reliability, availability and safe operating performance.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to safely execute maintenance activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
