Job summary

Turbo Staff Ltd is seeking an experienced Plumber to join our team, working on residential, commercial and civil projects across Otago and other regions as needed. You will interpret plans and ensure work meets the NZ Building Code and industry standards.

The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of water, drainage, sanitary and gas systems, with after-hours call-out as required. Minimum 30 hours per week, travel and accommodation paid when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Plumber.
• NZ plumbing/gasfitting qualification and registration.
• Strong knowledge of the NZ Building Code and plumbing/gasfitting standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain hot/cold water supply systems, sanitary plumbing, and drainage (above and below ground).
• Fit plumbing fixtures and appliances including basins, toilets, showers, and hot water cylinders.
• Install gas appliances, piping, flues, and pressure regulating devices.
• Fabricate and install metal roofing, guttering, and flashings.
• Diagnose faults and blockages, and carry out repairs with minimal disruption.
• Conduct pressure and leak testing to confirm compliant, reliable installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Maintain accurate job records and compliance documentation.
• Participate in an after-hours call-out roster where required.
