Job summary

Origin Talent is seeking a Lending Associate for a well-established finance brokerage in New Zealand. You will support the lending process from application to settlement, working with clients, lenders and professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance.

You will liaise with banks and other lenders, manage documentation, and help with residential, commercial and development finance applications, delivering exceptional client service throughout the process.

Qualifications

  • Fluent Mandarin and English written and spoken (Essential).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactive approach with the confidence to ask questions.
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Interest in finance, lending, banking or property.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and review client financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare mortgage and lending applications.
  • Review applications for accuracy and identify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Liaise with banks, non-bank lenders and other finance providers.
  • Communicate with clients, solicitors, accountants, valuers and other stakeholders.
  • Follow up outstanding documentation and lending conditions.
  • Monitor application progress, approvals and settlement deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate client records, CRM data and compliance documentation.
  • Research lender policies and lending requirements.
  • Assist with residential, commercial and development finance applications.
  • Identify potential issues early and proactively resolve them.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and communication throughout the lending process.

We are looking for a Lending Associate to join a well-established finance brokerage specialising in residential mortgages, property investment, business finance, commercial lending and property development funding. Our clients include first-home buyers, property investors, business owners, commercial property clients and developers, providing plenty of variety and exposure across different lending sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, supportive team where you'll receive hands‑on training and mentoring from an experienced industry leader while working closely with Mortgage Advisers.

About the Role
