Job summary

Bell Gully, a leading New Zealand law firm based in Auckland, seeks a capable Legal Compliance and Risk Analyst to support the Legal Support Director and AML/CFT Officer across a broad compliance and risk agenda. The role focuses on client engagements, due diligence, governance questionnaires and training development while maintaining robust records and strong stakeholder relationships.

You will work with partners, senior management and business support teams to safeguard the firm’s governance

Qualifications

• Law degree with 3+ years PQE in Corporate/Commercial law.
• Experience in compliance and risk management.
• Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving.
• Ability to maintain records and work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support client engagement terms review, negotiation and records.
• Assist client compliance reviews, audits and governance questionnaires.
• Support AML/CFT compliance framework including due diligence and controls.
• Assist with conflicts management and information barrier processes.
• Maintain and enhance compliance, privacy, risk management and AI governance resources.
