Job summary

FNZ (UK) Ltd seeks an experienced Senior Financial Crime Analyst to lead and uplift financial crime frameworks across New Zealand and APAC. You will partner with stakeholders, drive regulatory alignment, and oversee escalated matters to strengthen Line 1 capability.

The role requires strong AML expertise, familiarity with NZ regulations, and a proactive approach to embedding a robust risk culture across a fast-paced FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Financial Crime Compliance with AML/CTF focus.
• Strong knowledge of NZ AML/CFT Act and regulations.
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues and building risk culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead NZ financial crime compliance programmes with AML/CTF focus.
• Develop, implement and maintain financial crime policies and controls.
• Standardise frameworks and processes across APAC jurisdictions.
• Provide oversight of escalated financial crime matters and strengthen Line 1 capability.
• Review complex cases including AML alerts, sanctions, and PEP assessments.
• Conduct risk assessments and enhance controls to mitigate emerging risks.
• Support regulatory engagements, audits and regulator responses.
• Monitor regulatory developments and embed changes.
• Deliver training and coaching to promote AML/CTF awareness.
