About the Role
We are looking for a Lecturer to deliver the highest standards of teaching and research in Business Informatics, with a focus on Business Analytics, by ensuring optimum learning environments for students enrolled in our Master of Business Informatics programme.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Leading lectures, tutorials, and practical workshops that foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience.
- Making sure study programmes are current, cutting-edge, and reflect a depth and breadth of disciplinary expertise in business analytics.
- Designing and delivering appropriate student assessments and providing effective and timely feedback.
- Contributing to the research and publication output of Yoobee College of Creative Innovation and the faculty through participation in appropriate research projects.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness.
- Collaborating with colleagues to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment for students.
Qualifications
About You/Key Requirements
- Hold (or currently pursuing) a PhD degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems with a focus on Business Analytics, or a closely aligned discipline, with a demonstrated record of published research outputs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students.
- Understanding of student learning and effective teaching methods.
- Knowledge of current trends and practices in the Business Analytics field, including advanced data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence.
- Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
- Must have evidence of student project supervision with prior teaching/industry experience in business analytics or related fields.
- Actively involved in research demonstrated by high-quality journals/conference papers in business analytics or related areas.
- Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga, kawa of cultural practice and traditions, and valuing te reo Māori.
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Effective networking skills to maintain links with current practice in the professional arena to provide opportunities for students in business analytics.
- Experience participating in innovative research programmes relevant to business analytics.
