Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

We currently have a vacancy for a full-time, fixed-term learning support coordinator. The successful applicant will work only at Te Kura o Tiori – Burnham School for terms 1, 2 and 3. There may be part-time hours available in term 4 2026, which can be negotiated.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Having the ability to quickly build positive and caring relationships with tamariki, staff, whānau, and other stakeholders is a prerequisite for this role. We are looking for someone with energy and passion who can implement and strengthen support initiatives across our Kura.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference for learners, teachers, and whānau, while strengthening inclusive practices. The LSC role is classroom-released, with the expectation of working alongside kaiako and ākonga in classes to support needs. You will lead, influence, and collaborate to ensure that every learner is recognised, supported, and able to thrive.

The successful applicant must be a NZ-registered teacher with a current full practising certificate and experience working with the NZ Curriculum. This position begins Monday 26th January.
