Job summary

Mt Carmel School in Meadowbank seeks a caring Learning Assistant to provide 1:1 and group support for students with additional needs. You will collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and the learning support team to support learners across a range of needs.

The role involves helping students access the curriculum, delivering learning programmes, organizing materials, and building positive relationships to promote successful learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for working with children
• Relates well to a diverse range of young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to changing student needs and classroom requirements
• Experience working with young people is an advantage, but not essential
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa required
