Job description

Learning & Development Advisor - 12 month Fixed term

Rocket Lab is the end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems that keep the world connected, protected, expand humanity's reach to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. We move fast, build real hardware for meaningful missions, and make the impossible routine. Come shape the future with us.

While other companies talk about it, we do it!

We're looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to join Rocket Lab on a 12 month fixed-term basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys shaping meaningful learning experiences that support people across New Zealand, the United States, and Canada.

As part of our People & Culture team, you'll support learning delivery, maintain and enhance our Learning Management System (LMS), and play a key role in developing compliance and technical training content. You will also bring strong facilitation capability and act as a backup for the Rocket Lab Academy, ensuring continuity of training delivery across the business.

What you'll get to do:
  • Support and manage updates within the LMS to ensure accurate, relevant, and role-specific training assignments.
  • Help design, develop, and deliver learning initiatives that build organisational capability and foster a strong learning culture.
  • Facilitate workshops, forums, and training sessions, engaging learners across multiple teams and locations.
  • Serve as a backup facilitator for the Rocket Lab Academy, maintaining training coverage when needed.
  • Lead and contribute to compliance-related training projects, including current development of US compliance modules and upcoming Neutron technical training.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, scalable, and tailored to operational needs.
  • Provide learning and development advice to individuals, leaders, and programs.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of learning systems, resources, and processes.
You'll bring these qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Experience in production, manufacturing or technical industries
  • Certification in training and development is a plus
  • Experience with AI in an L&D environment
  • Strong facilitation skills and confidence delivering training to diverse groups.
  • Experience with LMS platforms, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, or similar tools
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
What to expect

We're on a mission to unlock the potential of space to improve life on Earth, but that's not an easy task. It takes hard work, determination, relentless innovation, teamwork, grit, and an unwavering commitment to achieving what others often deem impossible. Our people out-think, out-work, and out-pace. We pride ourselves on having each other's backs, checking our egos at the door, and rolling up our sleeves on all tasks big and small. We thrive under pressure, work to tight deadlines, and our focus is always on how we can deliver, rather than dwelling on the challenges that stand in the way.
