Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Learning & Development Advisor in Auckland to lead engaging learning experiences and shape Rocket Lab academies. You will facilitate sessions, oversee existing programs, and contribute to design and rollout of new learning academies, including Shared Services initiatives.

You'll focus on facilitation, program management, and operational ownership, collaborating with the L&D Team Lead to ensure pathways are effective, relevant, and aligned with the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning and Development or a related role.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning software.
  • Strong organisational and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating high‑impact training sessions and workshops, both in-person and virtually.
  • Maintaining oversight of the Academy programs, ensuring consistency, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of newly created learning academies.
  • Contributing to the development of blended learning resources, using strong but practical instructional design capability.

Rocket Lab's People & Culture team is growing, and we're looking for a Learning & Development Advisor who's passionate about building capability, leading engaging learning experiences, and helping shape the future of our Rocket Lab academies.

In this role, you'll take a strong lead in facilitating learning, maintaining oversight of our existing Academy programs, and contributing to the design and roll‑out of newly created learning academies such as those emerging in Shared Services. You'll also support the continuous improvement of our broader learning ecosystem, ensuring employees have meaningful, practical, and accessible learning opportunities that support their growth and performance.

While you will apply sound instructional design practices, this role is more focused on facilitation, program management, and operational ownership of our learning academies rather than deep e‑learning development. YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
