Job summary

The University of Waikato is hiring a creative, student-centred learning designer to partner with academic staff in designing and developing courses across multiple delivery modes. You will contribute to the new Teaching Design and Innovation Studio, applying evidence-based learning design, inclusive practices, and learning analytics to continuously improve courses and student experiences.

Qualifications

• Three years in learning design or educational development.
• Understanding of learning theories, assessment design, active learning.
• Experience applying Universal Design for Learning and accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality courses and learning experiences across face-to-face, online, blended and hybrid environments.
• Apply evidence-based learning design principles to constructively aligned courses with clear outcomes and effective assessment.
• Provide practical guidance on the LMS and educational technologies.
• Apply Universal Design for Learning to ensure inclusive access for every student.
