Sacred Heart Girls' College (Ham) Waikato is seeking an experienced physical education and health teacher to move into a middle leadership role as acting Leader of Learning: Physical Education & Health. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term position starting 28/01/2026 and ending 27/01/2027 (maternity leave).

Position details

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura; Health and physical education; 3MU + 1MMA

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to schoolwide strategic development with a sound, evidence‑based understanding of effective pedagogy.
  • Collaborate effectively and influence meaningful and sustainable change.
  • Coach and mentor staff across the Physical Education and Health Learning Area.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Current NZ practising certificate.
  • Experience in physical education and health; readiness for middle leadership or diversification of leadership opportunities.
