Job summary

KiwiQuest in Dunedin is seeking an experienced waiter to run a section, deliver polished table service and build strong guest relationships in a busy team.

You will look after a restaurant section, deliver table service, upsell food and drinks, learn restaurant systems and participate in wine education and tastings on offer. Regular Sundays, public holidays and annual summer break apply.

Qualifications

• At least two years of table-service waiter experience
• Passion for customer service and interest in wine and food
• Good energy, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to upsell and work in a systems-focused environment
• Availability for stated day and evening shifts and local Dunedin presence
• Paid menu and beverage tastings and wine education
• Full training provided
• Motivated team in a beautiful restaurant
• Regular exposure to food and drink products
• Closed Sundays, public holidays and annual summer break

Responsibilities

• Look after a restaurant section and provide excellent guest experiences
• Deliver table service, clear plates and carry trays of drinks
• Communicate with guests and upsell food and beverages
• Learn and follow restaurant systems
• Build rapport with regular customers
