Job summary

Douglas Pharmaceuticals Ltd is seeking a Validation Team Leader in New Zealand. You will lead a team of up to 11, owning the technical delivery across validation workstreams and maintaining governance documents to regulatory standards.

You will influence cross-functional decisions, review historic validation packages, and provide technical input to investigations, changes and audits, while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a cGMP environment, pharmaceutical manufacturing or related industry.
• 3+ years' validation experience, including supervisory/leadership.
• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines as they apply to validation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with cross-team influence.
• Engineering/Chemistry or related science degree (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop your team, setting clear performance expectations and modelling strong leadership behaviours.
• Own the technical delivery of your current workstream (Cleaning Validation, Cross-Contamination Prevention, Process Performance Qualification, or Commissioning and Qualification).
• Maintain and improve validation governance documents (VMPs, SOPs, WIs) to regulatory standards.
• Review historic validation packages for gaps and actions.
• Provide technical input to quality investigations, change requests and audits.
• Report on team priorities, delivery, and capacity to Head of Validation.
• Champion collaboration and continuous improvement across Technical Services.
