Job summary

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is seeking a Supervisor Social Workers for the Hamilton North site. You will lead and supervise a team of social workers, travel regionally as required, and ensure decisions meet practice standards and timeliness.

A driver’s licence, SWRB registration and leadership experience are essential. You will work within a whānau-led approach focused on tamariki wellbeing, collaborating with iwi and other agencies to deliver outcomes that respect tikanga and Pacific

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid driver’s licence.
• Full registration with New Zealand Social Work Registration Board (SWRB).
• Social worker qualification recognised by SWRB.
• Previous people management/mentoring experience essential.
• Ability to travel around the region as required.
• Knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' culture.
