Habit Health in Palmerston North is seeking an experienced Lead Physiotherapist to blend hands-on clinical work with leadership. You will manage a varied caseload and mentor a small team of physiotherapists to build confidence and clinical excellence.

The role focuses on musculoskeletal, vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, driving service development and best practice while fostering a collaborative team culture and autonomous practice.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Physiotherapy registration with APC.
• 5+ years of clinical physiotherapy experience.
• Experience in musculoskeletal vestibular, concussion and persistent pain rehabilitation.
• Experience delivering and coordinating end-to-end pain/concussion rehab is desirable.
• Leadership, mentoring and supporting other physiotherapists to develop skills.

Responsibilities

The Role

As Lead Physiotherapist, You Will

• Partner with Clinical and Service Leads to deliver consistently high-quality, evidence-based care.


• Manage a diverse clinical caseload, including musculoskeletal, vestibular, concussion and persistent pain presentations.


• Support the delivery and ongoing development of pain and concussion rehabilitation services.


• Drive best practice and continuous improvement through clinical leadership, innovation and client feedback.


• Provide structured clinical supervision, coaching and mentorship to junior physiotherapists.


• Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture where learning and professional development are prioritised.


• Work autonomously while contributing to wider service and regional objectives.


• You\’ll play a pivotal role in shaping clinical excellence while ensuring exceptional outcomes for every client who walks through our doors.

About You

To be successful in this role, you\'ll bring:

• Current NZ Physiotherapy registration with a valid APC


• Ideally five or more years\' clinical physiotherapy experience.


• Demonstrated experience in musculoskeletal vestibular, concussion and persistent pain rehabilitation.


• Experience delivering and coordinating end-to-end pain and/or concussion rehabilitation services is highly desirable.


• A genuine passion for leading, mentoring and supporting other physiotherapists to develop their clinical skills and confidence.


• Confidence managing a varied and complex caseload while maintaining excellent clinical standards.


• A full New Zealand Driver Licence for community rehabilitation work.


• Outstanding communication skills and a warm, engaging and collaborative approach.
