Job summary

Starship Child Health in Auckland seeks a Charge Nurse for Paediatric Cardiac Operating Rooms to lead clinical activity management in our Paediatric Cardiac theatre services. This fixed-term, full-time role covers parental leave and supports a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years in perioperative nursing, NZ Nursing Council registration eligibility, and strong leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills to deliver Mokopuna and Whanau centered

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NZ Nursing Council registration or eligibility.
• 3+ years of operating room/perioperative nursing experience.
• Expert knowledge in theatre nursing; cardiac surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of clinical activities in Paediatric Cardiac theatres.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary staffing across two theatre suites.
• Provide senior clinical support, nursing leadership and patient care quality.
