Job summary

Seipp Construction is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead day-to-day mechanical work on the Benmore Hydro Project in Canterbury, NZ. You will manage trades, plan resources, ensure safety, quality and timely delivery within a steep, controlled environment.

You will coordinate with project, civil, electrical and commissioning teams, drive pre-starts, toolbox talks and QA documentation while maintaining strong client relationships and a focus on zero defects on a high-profile

Qualifications

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supervising mechanical construction teams.
• Experience on hydro, industrial or similarly complex projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily mechanical work fronts.
• Plan labour, plant, equipment and subcontractors.
• Lead pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.
• Ensure permits, controls and JSEAs are followed.
• Monitor progress and resolve barriers early.
• Coordinate interfaces with civil, electrical, commissioning and client teams.
• Ensure installations meet drawings and specs.
• Coach and develop Leading Hands and tradespeople.
• Maintain client relationships and uphold quality.
