Job description

If you enjoy working outdoors and are able to get stuck in, this is the perfect role for you! Due to an internal promotion, we are currently recruiting for an Irrigation Technician to join our high-performing Auckland Toru Sports Turf Team.

As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining, programming and marking “underground” irrigation systems
• Monitoring soil moisture levels to correctly adjust irrigation cycles
• Identifying damaged turf areas, assessing for turf pests and diseases
• Scoping and planning work prior to commencement, arranging parts from suppliers
• Identifying tasks required to be completed internally or via a trade person or specialist contractor

We are looking for someone who:

• Has extensive experience maintaining, programming and marking underground irrigation systems
• Has the ability and willingness to interpret and follow instructions and meet the required standards and deadlines
• Is well organised and highly capable of multi-tasking and carrying out other general duties
• Committed to a health and safety focused culture
