Habit Health seeks a Lead Hand Therapist to join our Wellington team. This senior role combines a hands-on clinical caseload with leadership responsibilities, mentoring others, and shaping how high-quality hand therapy services are delivered.

You'll lead the day-to-day clinical environment, support staff development, foster ACC partnerships and community relationships, and contribute to ongoing quality improvements within our Wellington clinic.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with NZ boards.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Membership with Hand Therapy New Zealand.
• 5+ years in hand therapy or closely aligned setting.
• Postgraduate qualifications completed or in progress.
• Strong ACC rehabilitation knowledge.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and reporting skills.
• Passion for mentoring and developing others.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day clinical environment in the Wellington hand therapy clinic.
• Maintain an active clinical caseload with high-quality hand therapy services.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, peer review, and clinical support to therapists.
• Support staff development, induction, and ongoing training initiatives.
• Monitor clinic capacity and assist with triage and work allocation.
• Build relationships with ACC, referrers, employers, insurers, and community stakeholders.
• Support accreditation requirements and continuous quality improvement.
• Promote integrated rehabilitation solutions across Habit Health's service offerings.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
