Job summary

CGR Services is seeking a Principal Frontend Engineer to join our Hybrid Auckland-based team. You will lead frontend initiatives, shape architecture decisions, and mentor developers inbuilding scalable user interfaces.

You will work with Vue 3+, Tailwind, and TypeScript, write tests, and collaborate with designers and stakeholders in an Agile setting. Expect a dynamic fintech-adjacent environment with modern tooling and AI-assisted coding.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software development experience.
• Strong experience with Vue 3+ (or React/Angular with desire to switch to Vue).
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and frontend architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable frontend applications using Vue 3+ and TypeScript.
• Design and implement clean, maintainable frontend architecture.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Mentor developers on best practices, architecture, and clean coding practices.
• Build responsive and accessible interfaces using Tailwind CSS, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Vitest or Jest.
• Work with modern build tools such as Vite, Rollup or Webpack.
• Collaborate with designers to deliver intuitive and polished UI/UX.
• Work closely with engineers and stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Contribute to technical direction and architecture decisions.
• Use AI coding tools to improve development efficiency.
