Job summary

Hong Yun Design And Build Limited in Auckland is seeking a skilled Carpenter to read plans and build structures from timber and other materials on-site. You will measure, cut, shape, and install components, ensuring accuracy and safety on every job.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience or a Level 4+ qualification, with a Bachelor's degree or higher preferred. Flexibility for weekend work and long-term commitment is expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience or a Level 4+ qualification.
• Bachelor's degree or above required.
• No major restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and other materials to construct frameworks, furniture, and structures.
• Installing fixtures, fittings, and structures such as windows, doors, stairs, and cabinets.
• Inspecting materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.
• Repairing or replacing damaged or worn structures, fixtures, or furniture.
• Constructing and installing frameworks for walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Assembling and installing partitions, shopfronts, and signage.
• Operating hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
• Ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and regulations.
• Maintaining a clean and safe worksite in accordance with health and safety requirements
