Job summary

WORK - The Recruitment Co. Hamilton, North Island is seeking an experienced Landscape Foreman to lead commercial landscaping projects across the Waikato.

This hands-on leadership role oversees crews from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard. You will read plans, coordinate tasks to programme, supervise day-to-day site operations, and provide regular updates to Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Landscape Foreman or Leading Hand.
• Strong knowledge of commercial landscaping and hardscaping.
• Ability to read plans and manage projects from start to finish.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Commercial Landscaping Foreman | $35–$40 per hour | Immediate Start We're recruiting for an experienced Landscape Foreman to join a well-established commercial landscaping contractor delivering high-quality outdoor construction projects across the Waikato.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll oversee projects from start to finish, leading a crew while ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.

What's involved:

• Leading and supervising a team on commercial landscaping projects.
• Overseeing day‑to‑day site operations from project commencement through to completion.
• Reading plans and coordinating works to programme.
• Liaising with Project Managers and providing regular site updates.
• Ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining health and safety standards.
• Hands‑on involvement in hardscaping and outdoor construction.

You’ll have experience with:

• Paving and paving preparation.
• Timber structures, decking and retaining walls.
• Kerbing, edging and concrete works.
• Artificial turf and planting
• General commercial landscaping and outdoor construction.
• Operating small plant and construction equipment.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience as a Landscape Foreman or Leading Hand.
• Strong knowledge of commercial landscaping and hardscaping.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a team.
• Ability to read plans and manage projects from start to finish.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Full driver's licence.
• Own tools.
• WTR and Class 2 licence are advantageous but not essential.
