Laboratory Manager - Secondment Opportunity - Internal Only
Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) currently manages several laboratories through a team of skilled technicians. To meet the regulatory requirements outlined in the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017, there is an obligation to ensure a Laboratory Manager is in place.
To address this compliance gap, we are seeking expressions of interest for a 0.2 FTE Lab Manager for 12 months Fixed Term, while we are currently reviewing our lab utilisation and lab spaces (H block) for 2027 delivery.

This role will report to the CAM, and for these additional responsibilities the technician could have a dotted reported line to Health and Safety Advisor (Julie Harris) to ensure compliance.
