Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Christchurch seeks a Laboratory Aggregates Supervisor to lead the aggregates testing team. This hands-on role covers sample receipt, work allocation, testing, and final sign-off, reporting to the Laboratory Manager.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekend/night work when needed. You will supervise Technicians, ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining ISO17025 and IANZ standards.

Qualifications

• Solid laboratory experience in aggregates, materials testing, or similar.
• Proven leadership capability to guide a team and develop staff.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality systems and reporting.
• A safety-first mindset with ability to stay calm under pressure.
• A relevant qualification in materials testing or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the aggregates laboratory to ensure safe, accurate, on-time testing.
• Supervise and develop Laboratory Technicians and Senior Laboratory Technicians.
• Manage sample flow from receiving to testing, reporting and sign-off.
• Maintain compliance with ISO17025, IANZ accreditation, and Fulton Hogan standards.
• Collaborate with Laboratory Manager and other supervisors to optimise resources.
