Job summary

A community educational institution in Canterbury is seeking a full-time, fixed-term certified teacher to work within the Level 2 bilingual programme. The ideal candidate will collaborate with colleagues, advocate for learners, and engage with their families. Job description

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2026, End Date: 18/12/2026 (Study leave)

Area / composite (Years 1–15), Certificated teacher

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to design and facilitate cross-curricular learning for ākonga within our Level 2 bilingual programme (Y1–10 in 2025).

You will be a passionate advocate for learners and learning, have an open mindset and be able to work collaboratively at all times. You will have experience engaging with ākonga and their whānau.

  • To cater for the collective education and wellbeing of all Haeata ākonga, and specifically ākonga in Kōmanawa (Level 2 Bilingual Provision)
  • To uphold the values of Haeata Community Campus
  • To lead learning with and for kaiako, ākonga and whānau in Kōmanawa and as a team member of Haeata.
