Job summary

Mitre 10 Kerikeri is seeking a customer‑focused retail specialist to design and sell kitchen and bathroom solutions. You will listen to customers, guide them from design to finish, and support on-floor merchandising in a fast-paced home improvement environment.

The role involves training on Design Software, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining stock and displays. A weekend roster is required, with no mention of salary details.

Qualifications

• An ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for customer service excellence.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Attention to detail is imperative (millimetres matter).
• Experience in a retail environment is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to juggle a busy workload.
• Ability to work on a roster including a weekend day.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be trained on our Design Software to assist customers.
• Grow sales by providing exceptional customer service.
• Maintain high merchandising standards and manage stock.
• Bring out-of-the-box thinking for kitchen and bathroom design.
• Assist with on-floor stock presentation and displays.
• Heavy lifting and physical movement are required.
• Promote health and safety and safe work practices.
• Experience in a similar role is helpful, but attitude is king.
