Overview

Thursday to Saturday 12:00pm-8:00pm | 22.5 hours per week, starting rate of $28.63 per hour

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable kitchen assistant to join our café kitchen team.

Our team works within a fast-paced environment running 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Working as part of a team in a busy café environment
  • Dishwashing and cleaning
  • Goods receiving and handling
  • Keeping things clean and safe
Qualifications and requirements

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible candidate who can bring their exceptional skill and passion to our team. Adaptability is essential as the successful candidate will be required to work across multiple work areas and complete a variety of tasks.

  • A friendly and positive attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical fitness and strength to transport goods and deliveries across campus.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • The physical ability to stand for long periods and lift items (e.g., stacks of plates, bins).
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Some experience working in a cafe or kitchen role.
  • Basic understanding of food safety rules.
  • Experience using a pallet lifter or pushing large trolleys.
