Job summary

Summerset by the Sea Village is seeking a casual Kitchen Assistant to support our chefs with daily food prep, plating, and kitchen hygiene in a busy village kitchen. You will work as part of a friendly team to ensure residents and visitors receive nutritious meals.

Responsibilities include handling basic prep, plating, dishwashing, stock rotation and helping with deliveries. Hours are on an as-needed basis, offering flexible, casual work in a warm community setting.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience ideally within hospitality.
• Friendly, can-do attitude and great communication skills.
• Good physical stamina.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.

• Helping with plating and presentation of meals

Job Description

As a casual Kitchen Assistant for our Summerset by the Sea Villageyou’ll be at the heart of our kitchen’s day-to-day operations. Your support will help ensure our chefs can deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents and visitors. From assisting with food prep to keeping the kitchen clean and organised, you’ll make a big difference behind the scenes – and you’ll be appreciated for it.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
