About This Role
  • Location: Redroofs Lifecare in the city of Dunedin
  • Contract: Permanent part-time (7 hours per week)
  • Shifts: PMs and weekend shifts

Our Kitchen Assistants help provide meals for residents within a cohesive and well-established team. This is a busy rest home kitchen where you will undertake manual tasks and assist the cook as requested. On-the-job training will be provided. This is a physical role requiring time on your feet and a good level of fitness.

Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a kitchen, preferably in a commercial setting; on-the-job training available.
  • Basic cookery and food hygiene skills.
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and be a team player.
  • Availability for morning, afternoon and weekend shifts.
  • Understanding of Nga Paerewa sector standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
