Job summary

Oceania Healthcare in Hawke's Bay is seeking a Casual Kitchen Assistant to join our village teams across multiple sites. You’ll help with meal prep, serve residents, and keep kitchens clean, with travel between our Hawke’s Bay villages.

This flexible casual role requires a friendly, reliable team member who can multitask, follow food safety procedures, and contribute to great service for older residents. Competitive pay and development opportunities are provided.

Job description

Our Oceania villages across Hawke’s Bay are looking for a Casual Kitchen Assistant to join our team, providing flexible support across our sites as needed.

This is a varied casual role where you’ll work alongside our kitchen and care teams to help provide great food and service to our residents. You’ll need to be flexible with your availability and comfortable travelling between our Hawke’s Bay villages.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting with meal preparation and general kitchen duties
• Helping our teams serve meals to residents
• Providing friendly and respectful service
• Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised
• Following food safety, cleaning and hygiene procedures
• Providing support across our four Hawke’s Bay villages as required
