ABOUT THE JOB

Join Danone (Nutricia) as a ‘Key Account Manager & Category Executive’!

In this dynamic permanent role, you'll be the go-to expert for a diverse range of customers across Grocery and Other Channels. You'll lead key account management by developing and executing annual customer plans and the commercial calendar. Additionally, you'll provide vital support to the NZ Danone Sales team with insightful category analysis and analytics, driving our success together. This role offers a steppingstone for individuals looking to accelerate their FMCG career, providing valuable experience in both sales and category management.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Relationships: Act as primary contact for Foodstuffs South Island, track metrics, lead category reviews, and manage ad hoc business dealings.
  • Category Analytics: Deliver data analysis, generate market insights, offer category support, manage data processes, track KPIs, identify improvements, and develop planograms.
  • Market Execution: Align customer business plans, collaborate with internal and field stakeholders for retail activation, track delivery of initiatives, and support field resources for market execution.
  • Field Operations Support: Deliver insights and performance details, coach on category analysis, and support North Island field sales plan.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage customer business plans, ensure budget alignment and accurate promotional accruals, and support ROI analysis.
  • Forecast & Supply Management: Maintain accurate monthly forecasts for all customers and monitor progress to meet business goals.
About You

You are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for key account management and category development. Your strong analytical skills and market insights drive customer strategies and business growth. You collaborate effectively with teams and partners, adapting quickly in fast-paced environments. As a customer advocate, you ensure their needs are met and exceeded.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in Account Management, Category Executive, or Account Executive roles.
  • Knowledge of the NZ Retail Grocery industry.
  • Proven relationship management skills.
  • A degree in Business, Marketing, or Commerce.
  • Proficiency in scan and shopper data (e.g., Quantium, Circana).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
