Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is seeking a dedicated role to support kaiako in planning, preparing and delivering high-quality learning experiences for tauira. The role involves recruitment assistance, enrolment processes, and maintaining accurate learner records, ensuring resources and classrooms are ready for effective programme delivery.

Candidates should have NCEA Level 2 or higher, preferably with Te Reo Māori capacity.

Qualifications

• NCEA Level 2 (or higher) is required, preferably in Te Reo Māori.
• Willingness to use Te Reo Māori at work; fluency desirable for Te Reo Māori programmes.
• Experience in support, education, administration or customer-focused roles, ideally in a learning environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills for connecting with tauira and colleagues.
• Proactive mindset with ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and team success.
• Ability to motivate, encourage and empower others to achieve goals.

Responsabilités

• Support Kaiako with planning, preparation and delivery of learning experiences for tauira.
• Assist with tauira recruitment, enrolment processes and maintaining learner records.
• Prepare learning resources, teaching materials and classroom environments for programme delivery.
• Support programme administration and academic quality processes for compliance and delivery.
• Provide pastoral and academic support to tauira to promote engagement, retention and progression.
• Monitor attendance and assist with initiatives to improve tauira success.
• Support programme activities including noho marae, wānanga and related administrative processes.

• Support Kaiako with the planning, preparationand delivery of high-quality learning experiences for tauira.

• Prepare learning resources, teaching materialsand classroom environments to support effective programme delivery.
• Support programme administration and academicquality processes to ensure compliance and successful delivery
• Provide pastoral and academic support to tauira,helping to promote engagement, retention, successful completion and progression.
• Monitor attendance, following up learnerabsences and assisting with initiatives to improve tauira success.
• Support programme activities, including nohomarae, wānanga and administrative processes that contribute to qualityeducational outcomes.

We are looking for someone who has the following:

• NCEA Level 2 (equivalent or higher) is required,preferably in Te Reo Māori.
• An ability and willingness to use and develop TeReo Māori in the workplace. Fluency in Te Reo Māori is highly desirable forroles supporting Te Reo Māori programmes.
• Experience in a support, education,administration or customer-focused role, ideally within a learning environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-buildingskills, with the ability to connect positively with tauira and colleagues.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to identifyopportunities for continuous improvement and contribute positively to teamsuccess.
• The ability to motivate, encourage and empowerothers to achieve their goals.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness toparticipate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of ĀhuatangaMāori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
