St Brigid’s School, a Y0–8 state integrated Catholic primary school in Johnsonville, is seeking a dedicated classroom teacher and team leader, starting on 28 January 2026.

The successful applicant will be a NZ registered experienced teacher, display the ability to create the best possible learning environment, be a team player, and demonstrate excellence in leading learning. They will be leading and working in a highly supportive team who create inclusive, authentic, culturally-connected and engaging learning environments.

Responsibilities
  • As a team leader, the successful candidate will be part of the school's leadership team, working to embody our school values and empower our ākonga through Catholic education and faith.
  • They will be an effective communicator and collaborator, with a strong commitment to improving student outcomes.
  • They will be experienced in Structured Literacy and Structured Mathematics and will need to contribute to the continued school-wide development of these programmes.
  • The successful candidate is required to support and uphold the special character of the school. A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the school shall be a condition of appointment.
