The Terrace School (Waipukurau) in Hawke's Bay invites applications for two roles: Kaiako and Team Leader, in a full-time, permanent capacity. The positions focus on bilingual education (Te Aranga) within Level 2 immersion classrooms and involve leading with purpose, strengthening te reo Māori pathways, and supporting colleagues to grow as educators.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in Māori-medium education, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, and the ability to form meaningful partnerships

MITA

Due to the retirement of our much-loved Bilingual Team Leader, we are seeking an outstanding kaiako and inspiring leader who can continue to grow our team and provide clear vision and direction for Te Aranga, our bilingual classrooms at The Terrace School. We are looking for someone who can lead with purpose, strengthen our bilingual pathway, support and develop colleagues, and help shape the future direction of Te Aranga.

We are also seeking a passionate and forward-thinking kaiako who is committed to te reo Māori and tikanga Māori, and who is excited about supporting the learning and success of our ākonga.

Applicants will ideally have a sound understanding of Māori-medium education, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, and the ability to build strong, meaningful partnerships with ākonga, whānau, colleagues, hapori and iwi.

You will join a collaborative and supportive team who will support your learning in PRIME Mathematics, while also valuing and learning from the curriculum strengths, knowledge and experience you bring to our kura.

The teaching position will be within a Level 2 immersion classroom and will be rewarded with the MITA. These positions are likely to be within the junior and middle classes.
