Job summary

Fine Tours Group (FTG) is a tech-enabled travel business based in Wanaka, New Zealand, delivering tailored advice and a multi-channel strategy across NZ and Australia. We are growing rapidly and seek a Front-end Developer to help build and maintain our new web presence with a focus on engaging user experiences.

You'll work closely with our Senior Front-end Developer and designer to deliver pages, components and features, leveraging React, Optimizely, GraphQL/REST APIs, and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Front-end developer in a production environment.
• Strong CSS skills for responsive layouts and visuals.
• Solid React.js experience and ecosystem familiarity.
• Experience with modern front-end build tools and workflows (Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn).

Responsibilities

• Build out new pages and forms using React and related front-end technologies.

Front-end Developer

Fixed Term 12 month contract. As a Front-end developer, you'll work closely with our current Senior Front-end Developer, and designer to bring their visions to life. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining our new web presence, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across all platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact and help to grow our company!

Responsibilities

• Building out new pages and forms using React and related front-end technologies
• Implementing UI components and experiences within the Optimizely framework, consuming GraphQL and REST based APIs
• Supporting QA by resolving issues and defects identified during testing
• Collaborating with the development team on architectural and design decisions where needed

Requirements

• Experience as a Front-end developer
• Understanding of CSS and its application in creating responsive and visually appealing layouts
• Solid experience with React.js and its ecosystem
