Special PR is looking for a Junior Event Manager to join our experiential team, working alongside our Head of Brand Experience to bring ambitious brand experiences, events and activations to life.
This is a hands‑on role for someone with two years’ experience in the events, PR or experiential industry who is ready to take the next step in their career. You may currently be working in a PR agency, events agency, experiential agency, or in an in‑house role with relevant event experience.
You’ll work across a wide range of projects, helping take ideas from concept through to delivery. One day you could be sourcing venues and suppliers, the next pulling together a run sheet, managing guest lists, briefing production partners or being onsite helping deliver an epic experience!
You’ll be highly organised, calm under pressure and someone who genuinely loves making things happen.
What You’ll Do
Working closely with our Head of Brand Experience and wider PR team, you’ll help deliver projects from planning through to execution.
Your role will include:
Supporting all aspects of production and delivery of events, activations and brand experiences
Researching and sourcing venues, suppliers, production partners, talent and other event requirements
Coordinating suppliers and managing project timelines and deliverables
Preparing event documentation including production schedules, run sheets, and briefing documents
Supporting guest management, invitations, RSVPs, ticketing and event communications
Assisting with budgets, quotes, purchase orders, invoices and cost tracking
Coordinating artwork, signage and branded assets
Attending site visits, supplier meetings, rehearsals and production meetings
Health & Safety planning and documentation
Being onsite for event builds, live events and pack‑downs
Working collaboratively with the Special PR team to ensure every element of the experience comes together
Building strong relationships with venues, suppliers and production partners
Keeping projects moving, spotting potential issues early and helping find solutions when plans inevitably change
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who has already had experience in the industry and is keen to build their career in experiential.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Two years’ experience working within an events, experiential or PR environment, either agency‑side or in a relevant industry role
Experience supporting the delivery of live events or brand activations
Excellent organisational skills and an ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines and moving parts
A creative mindset and the confidence to contribute ideas to a brief, with an eye for unique, interesting and unexpected ways to bring a brand experience to life
A natural curiosity for what’s new and interesting across events, hospitality, culture and experiences
Strong attention to detail – you’re the person who notices when something isn't quite right
Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers, venues and partners
A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in, whether that means building a production schedule or helping onsite at an event
The ability to stay calm, think quickly and find solutions when things change
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confidence using Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
A strong interest in brands, culture, PR, events and creating memorable experiences!
A relevant qualification in events, communications, marketing or PR would be useful, but hands‑on industry experience is just as important to us.
You’ll also need to be comfortable with the reality of events – occasionally that means early starts, late finishes and working outside standard hours when a project requires it.
