Job summary

Paparimu School is seeking a motivated junior classroom teacher to cover Years 1–4 for the remainder of Term 4, 2026, with the role extending to the end of the 2026 school year. You will join a small rural Year 1–8 school and support our 18 learners in a stable, caring community.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with tamariki and whānau, bring energy and positivity, and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Builds positive relationships with tamariki and whānau.
• Shows enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude.
• Confident teaching across Years 1–4 and meeting diverse needs.
• Knowledge of Structured Literacy and Maths – No Problem!

Responsibilities

• Teach across Years 1–4 and support junior learners to end of 2026.
• Create an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with senior classroom teacher and staff to support learners.
