Job summary

NZ Labour Hire Group is seeking an experienced Joinery Installer to join our team based in Hawera and New Plymouth, Taranaki. This full-time role focuses on professional installation, fitting and finishing of high-quality joinery products in residential and commercial settings.

You will measure, cut, fit, and finish joinery items on-site, use hand and power tools safely, and maintain clean, safe work areas.

Job description

NZ Labour Hire Group is seeking an experienced Joinery Installer to join our team based in both Hawera and New Plymouth, Taranaki. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse joinery installation projects across the region. As a Joinery Installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation, fitting, and finishing of high-quality joinery products in residential and commercial settings. This role is crucial to delivering exceptional results to our clients and maintaining the reputation of NZ Labour Hire Group for quality workmanship and reliability.

NZ Labour Hire – New Plymouth, North Island

Key responsibilities

• Some knowledge of installing and fitting joinery components, including doors, windows, cabinetry, and bespoke wooden fixtures to specification
• Will need to be confident in measuring, cutting, and adjusting joinery items on-site to fit perfectly within existing spaces
• Have previous experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installation tasks
• Applying finishing touches including staining, sealing, or painting where required
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, removing waste materials and protecting finished surfaces

What we’re looking for

• Some knowledge in this field would be an advantage, but hammerhand skills will be accepted as well
• Confident in hand and power tools specific to joinery installation work
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with clients and other tradespeople
• Physical fitness with current, valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to travel between job sites across the Taranaki region
• Formal joinery qualifications or apprenticeship completion, experience with modern joinery products and installation systems, or knowledge of installation and joinery.
