Overview

Christchurch Tradestaff Christchurch is looking for a skilled and motivated Joinery Worker to join a busy workshop. This role will see you working across both assembly and CNC operation, so it’s perfect for someone with well-rounded joinery experience who’s ready to take on a long-term opportunity.

Location and Start

Location: Addington
Start: As soon as possible
Pay rate: $30–$34 per hour (depending on experience and skillset)

Responsibilities

• Assembling cabinetry, doors, windows, and other joinery items
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Using hand and power tools to fit hardware and complete products
• Operating CNC machinery to cut and shape components
• Performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and finish
• Maintaining safe and efficient workshop practices

What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

• Proven experience in joinery, cabinetmaking, carpentry, or CNC operation (3+ years)
• Ability to read plans and follow instructions accurately
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Your own reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
