Job summary

Canstaff in Canterbury is seeking an experienced Joiner to install, repair, and maintain wooden structures and bespoke joinery projects. You will apply carpentry skills, read plans, and deliver high-quality workmanship on time.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication with clients and teammates, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of joinery techniques and carpentry tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Joinery Work: create wooden structures, doors, windows, stairs, furniture.
• Installation: fit wooden fixtures, frameworks, panels with quality and accuracy.
• Repairs: fix existing woodwork such as windows, doors, flooring.
• Cutting & Shaping: measure, cut, and shape timber to specs.
• Safety & Quality: follow safety protocols and maintain clean work area.
• Client Interaction: communicate with clients about requirements and progress.
• Collaboration: work with team and other tradespeople to complete projects.
