Carpenters and Joiners Wanted – Opportunities in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty

Calling all Carpenters and Joiners who want to live and work in Bay of Plenty. Are you looking to relocate? Are you looking for stability and security in your job? If this sounds like you, get in touch with Tradestaff now.

Tradestaff have a variety of carpentry and joinery jobs across the Bay of Plenty region and we’re on the hunt for experienced or trade qualified carpenters and joiners.

We require Carpenters and Joiners from all backgrounds and to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience in Residential, Commercial and Civil Carpentry
  • Shuttering joinery (including steel-tying)
  • Framing, steel framing
  • 1st, 2nd and final fix
  • Roofing timbers/roofing joinery/wall framing
  • Experience in joinery/cabinetmaking - either on site or in a factory environment – windows and doors, staircases, bespoke timber joinery
  • The ability to read and set out from basic plans for installations
  • The ability to use various woodworking machinery such as jigsaws, planers, jointers, routers and other hand tools
  • The ability to cut, shape and fix panels, plasterboard, timbers, perspex and other materials
  • The ability to assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready for installation
  • Experience with shop fitouts (preferred but not essential)
  • The ability to operate CNC machines and edge banding (preferred but not essential)

Ideally, you will be or have:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience
  • Trade qualifications preferred however scope and length of carpentry or joinery experience may substitute for the formal qualification
  • Your own tools
  • Own reliable transport
  • At least 2 work references
  • 100% commitment to Health & Safety
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Class 1 preferred but not essential

In return we offer competitive rates of pay, varied and challenging work, regular hours with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, as well as long-term opportunities. Pay rates depend on experience $30- $40ph.
