Job summary

Bunnings in Hamilton is seeking an ICT Support Technician to provide high-quality repair and maintenance service for laptops, mobiles, tablets and other electronics. You will diagnose problems, install, configure and troubleshoot devices, and support customers with technical issues.

This role involves hands-on work, rostering across 30-45 hours per week, with pay between $29 and $35 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include a dynamic team and the chance to grow technical skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of relevant IT/electronics or technical work experience.
• Level 5 IT/electronics qualification may substitute for work experience.
• Knowledge of repairing and maintaining mobile devices.
• Understanding repair of laptops, mobiles, computers, notepads and other electronics.
• Good understanding of computers and communications devices.
• Willing to work roster shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Ability to interact with a wide range of people.
• Solid judgment skills.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Quality inspection and auditing.
• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Assemble and disassemble computers and devices.
• Assist clients to resolve issues in person or by phone.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose faults.
• Replace parts as required.
• Provide IT advice to business customers.
• Set up new user accounts and reset passwords.
• Respond to call outs within agreed time limits.
• Maintain a tidy shop and safe store environment.
