Mainstream in Invercargill is seeking an experienced Class 2 Metro driver. You’ll operate a modern fleet, deliver and collect freight, and work with a supportive team to keep New Zealand moving.

This full-time role offers safety‑first operations, clear responsibilities, and opportunities to grow with a nationally recognised transport leader. You’ll need a current Class 2 license (F,D endorsements), proven truck/trailer experience, and good NZ geography knowledge.

Qualifications

• Current Class 2 driver license with endorsements F and D.
• Proven truck and trailer experience, including reversing and manoeuvring.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and safety-first mindset.
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills and ability to relate well with others.
• Good knowledge of NZ geography.

Responsabilités

• Safely and efficiently drive class 2 vehicles delivering and collecting freight throughout Invercargill.
• Assist with loading, securing, and unloading freight, including gear swap operations.
• Maintain trucks and trailers, including fuel, wash, RUCs, and general upkeep.
• Use EROAD electronic logbooks to accurately record driving hours, rest breaks, and trip details in line with NZTA compliance requirements.
• Work closely with dispatch, warehouse teams, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all health, safety, and operational procedures at all times.

Connaissances

Current Class 2 driver license (F, D)
