About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Inventory Controller to manage and maintain the inventory, warehouse, yard, and plant items at our Maintenance Services Networks site in Mangere.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a neat and tidy store ensuring all inventory items accurately accounted for
  • Ensure timely allocation of stock to projects or departments.
  • Replenish stock in a timely manner to prevent shortages.
  • Track usage and update records to reflect current stock status.
  • Unloading, receipting, and storage of all inventory items
  • Prepare inventory items for field crew allocation
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Maintain inventory in ERP inventory management systems.
  • Record adjustments, transfers in the system.
  • Work with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Assist in planning for upcoming projects and stock requirements.

About you
Skills

This role would suit a diligent and flexible individual with excellent communications skills, and someone who is confident working with internal and external partners. The successful candidate will also bring:

  • Previous inventory management experience - handling fast paced inventory movement and associated paperwork
  • Confidence with IT systems - use of stock management systems, MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • A current fork hoist licence
  • Full class 1 driving licence mandatory and a class 2 is desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven planning and organisational skills
