About The Role

As an Interventional Cardiologist, you will:

• Perform a range of interventional procedures, including elective and acute angioplasty and complex coronary interventions.
• Participate in the acute management of cardiovascular emergencies and complex cases.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary patient care, working closely with cardiothoracic surgery, radiology, and intensive care teams.
• Provide clinical leadership and training to junior doctors and allied health professionals.
• Engage in ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in an on-call roster as part of a dedicated team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent specialist qualification.
• Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a specialist in cardiology.
• Extensive experience in interventional cardiology, including proficiency in complex coronary interventions.
• A strong commitment to patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and teamwork.
• A passion for innovation, research, and teaching.
